ZŁOTY pt 2
1917-1924 KINGDOM of POLAND + REPUBLIC of POLAND
The Polish Marka was introduced by the Germans in Warsaw in 1916 at 1 Polish Marka = 1 German Mark. It was modeled on the German mark and used through out both the Kingdom of Poland and the Republic of Poland. Here, the currency begins to become a bit more colorful and vibrant.

“A rare example of a 1-mark note printed in 1919,
when the name of the newly-recreated Poland was still
not certain and was hence called the Polish state”
