GENEALOGY RESEARCH MAP
Hi, all! I recently came across a wonderful tool that I’d like to share with you! It is called a Genealogy Research Map and you can download it for free over at ThinkGenealogy.
Basically, it is a visual roadmap of the research process:
1) RESEARCH GOALS 2)SEARCHING RELIABLE SOURCES 3)CITATION 3)ANALYZING SOURCES, INFORMATION AND EVIDENCE 4)RESOLVE CONFLICTS and 5) CONCLUSION.
The important details/aspects of each step are outlined, as well.
I downloaded it and printed it out this afternoon, giving it a permanant home in the front of my “working” binder. I really think this is great for all levels of geno experience!
ThinkGenealogy is a blog from Mark Tucker, a software designer who marries his fantastic technical talents with his passion for genealogy. I urge everyone to pay a visit, if you haven’t done so already!
